Quick fixes
- Close Shut Up Fly, then open it again.
- Make sure the iPhone is not in Silent Mode and turn the volume up if buzzing or effects are missing.
- Open Settings > Apps > Shut Up Fly and allow Camera, Microphone, and Motion access for the complete fly-sense experience.
- If a permission was changed while the game was open, restart the game.
- Install the latest available version of iOS and the latest Shut Up Fly update.
Why does the game ask for sensors?
Flies react to sudden movement, sound changes, device motion, and the player's approach. Camera images and microphone audio are processed live on the iPhone. They are never recorded, saved, or transmitted by the app.
My taps are not landing
Tap the visible fly directly and move quickly once you are close. The fly may escape if it senses an approach. If every tap appears offset, restart the game and make sure Display Zoom or an accessibility touch setting has not just changed while the game is running.
Progress and leaderboards
Level progress, stars, settings, local scores, and the local Hall of Fame are stored on the iPhone. Shut Up Fly also supports optional online leaderboards through Apple Game Center. When you are signed into Game Center, eligible scores may be submitted to and displayed by Apple. Deleting Shut Up Fly removes its local game data; scores previously submitted to Game Center may remain associated with your Apple Game Center account.
Game Center troubleshooting
- Open Settings > Game Center.
- Confirm that the player is signed in.
- Reopen Shut Up Fly.
- Game Center availability and score display are operated by Apple.
